  2. Review titled Really good A&E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Emily - Posted on 08 April 2024

I came to the A&E with a nasty cat bites as my pharmacist sent me there with urgency, and I was seen within 10 min for the initial assessment. I had X-ray for teeth left in the wound really quick. All the staff and nurses were extremely nice and polite. I was feeling really looked after. Thank you so much.

I attended a&e for acute chest pain. Everyone from the triage nurse, to the student nurse and the junior doctor were great. I expected long waits but was in and seen by a doc in 30 mins, tests run and discharged in 3 hours. Thank you

  4. Review titled Calm and welcoming place. Helpful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

We waited along time and came along way with my 6 yr old son to meet a Doctor on 15 March 2024 at the Paediatric Outpatient, but it was well worth it. She is highly professional, very friendly. She asked, listened and provided detailed and extremely useful help and advice. It was such a pleasant experience; she is a true Paediatric human and a knowledgeable doctor.

  5. Review titled Rude and condesending

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 March 2024

Had an ENT appointment for my daughter today, the consultant was incredibly rude and condescending. After explaining I've been dealing with her hearing loss for over 12 years, I was shown a generic image on a computer of an ear! When questioned why there was a long wait for her appointment, she had previously been seen and referred as an emergency. I was told only people with a diagnosis of cancer get quick appointments - even after it was documented she should be seen within 4 weeks, we waited over 5 months, in this time her condition has deteriorated to a point she will have long term damage to her ears as a result of the delay. The nurse assisting in clinic spent most of the time I was there giggling with the consultant. The only professional person I saw was the audiologist, she was amazing. Spent time explaining to my daughter her results and what they mean, she was friendly and such a lovely person.

  6. Review titled Great staff

I was at the Ealing Hospital A&E department with my daughter. We were approached by a full navy blue uniform staff. He immediately gave my daughter a sling to stabilise her arm. His professionalism and gentleness is exactly what a worried mom need at that moment! The receptionist was also efficient and kind. The radiographer who assisted my daughter was also very gentle and caring. All in all, I was very pleased with how the staff helped us tonight. Thank you all!

From the minute you arrive the staff are warm and welcoming, they explain and help you every step of the way. I felt very at ease and comfortable to ask anything. The two nurses that I had were wonderful. Shame not allowed to name them.

My brother was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. He was brought in with a stroke. The nurses went above and beyond anything expected.

  9. Review titled Efficient and caring service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was treated for a suspected stroke - no previous history. The staff were all efficient and pleasant, explaining each procedure. I was taken by ambulance to Northwick Park after various tests were completed even though I was not presenting with very obvious symptoms . It was later confirmed that I had indeed suffered a stroke. I am extremely grateful and very impressed by the department.

  10. Review titled Ealing Hospital saved my life - thank you so much

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Timothy Bowdler - Posted on 25 March 2024

I was brought in to Ealing Hospital at around 3am on Tuesday, March 19th. Having already attended Wexham Park Hospital on the 17th with stomach pain and, following inconclusive tests, I was still not sure of the issue. Within an hour at Ealing a swift diagnosis from a doctor on A&E was reached. It was clear I had a bowel obstruction and urgent action was required. By 1pm I was in Theatre having a laparoscopy at the hands of expert team of which I cannot name on this portal. The operation was a success and I am on the road to recovery. I have to say that a chain of events ensured my survival. The 111 service immediately called an ambulance when I told them my vomit was brown, the A&E department was quick and professional, the aneasthetists and surgery team were brilliant and the staff at South Ward 3 were absolutely wonderful. All the links had to be in place to ensure my survival. It could have been so different. On the 19th I was thinking of trying to 'sleep it off' but I made a decision on the off-chance to call 111. Had I not made that decision I would not be here now. I didn't know that, at best, I had around 12 hours to live. What a wonderful hospital and what a wonderful NHS. Thank you so much. However, I particularly want to thank the Ward staff, the doctor in A&E who diagnosed the problem quickly and the operating team. The ambulance crew were also excellent. I cannot praise everyone enough. As a result of your work, my two young children still have a dad. It's amazing and lovely.
