    I tried to book an appointment today at 9am As I have been told to do before Now I am told that you do not take booking for routine appointments on Fridays If you operated a private company like this l don’t think you would be in business very long

    Dear Patient, We are sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with your recent interaction with us, and can assure you that we strive to get each of our patients the appointment they need Monday to Friday included. However, due to high demand, and in order to make our appointment system as fair as possible to everyone, we do not take bookings for routine appointments more than a week in advance. Of course, if an appointment is urgent or a patient needs to be seen before our next available routine appointment, we will be able to accommodate. There are also extended hours appointments available, pre-bookable through our Care Navigation team here at Marden which are available at evenings and weekends at various surgeries across Shrewsbury (more detail can be found on our website https://mardenpractice.gpsurgery.net).     My experience today was great. I was seen promptly and put on a course of treatment. All members of staff that I delt with were kind, caring and listened to my concerns.

    I’ve received fantastic service from this practice, the staff have always been efficient, approachable, reassuring and helpful with my concerns. After needing follow ups for blood tests and appt was made quickly with access to discuss possible treatments with GP, easing my fears and concerns.

    I have now tried eight times to get an appointment with this practice. Each time I get told things like "We'll release more appointments as 12:00 on Monday, you'll have to call back". When I call back it's inevitably a call queue, and at the end of the queue, "Sorry, we don't have any more appointments, you'll need to call back on a different day when we've released more appointments". I'm sure this is so that the practice has what appears to be good statistics for a short waiting time, but the reality is that just getting an appointment takes weeks, during which time you don't appear as a statistic waiting for an appointment. The medical staff are great, but I'm now looking for a new GP where I can actually get to be seen.

    Had to wait for 12 weeks to receive biopsy results. So much unnecessary stress on my behalf. I had to chase to get these results in the end. Asked for help at gps received nothing. Felt like I had been forgotten about. Surely it is in your duty to follow up on these matters. Feel very unhappy with lack of support. I have always received a very good service up until now. Surely, this is something that needs addressing. I called twice for results then asked gp to intervine 10 days ago. Still nothing.. Follow up procedure is extremely poor. I do believe the results had not been sent out in first place. Again forgotten about... Unacceptable on my behalf. This is why I wanted to leave feedback to let you know of my bad experience. I hope things can improve and this does not happen to anyone else. .

    I have asked a receptionist at least 3 times to ask the doctor to revert to my previous doubling up of my supply of monthly tablets as prescribed recently. Each time they say yes we’ve done that for you. But when l go to the adjoining pharmacist only 1 month supply is there. Surely this can’t be difficult to achieve. Very frustrating.

    Contacted the surgery today 09.00 24th July 2023 with an ongoing medication problem, had a call back by 11.00 spoke at length to the extremely understanding doctor, picked up my blood test paperwork at12.30 and made an appointment to review the results excellent service and a big shoutout to the receptionist cheerful and helpful

    Hi, I am a new patient to Marden and had my first appointment this morning. Firstly the receptionist, was a lovely caring and professional human being and not an uninterested robot. She dealt with my queries quickly and efficiently. Secondly the doctor I saw was lovely, caring, professional and knowledgeable. Thank you what a breath of fresh air this practice is after leaving my last one of 57 years.
