    Happy with blood test and nurse. But I feel they could do a lot more test in a day than they do. It would then be easier to get a test without having to wait a week

    When attending for a medical review last month the reception staff were friendly, helpful and professional 😁 the staff were very busy but went above and beyond 😁

    I had my B12 injection with the nurses they are always on time friendly and professional Only problem is the self check in machine is still out of order for 5+ months now

    I sent an econsult to the surgery 0830hrs on a Thursday morning requesting antibiotics for a recurring problem. Nine minutes later I got a call from the nurse practitioner who asked all the relevant questions and prescribed the antibiotics. How can that service be improved … well it can’t! Yet again another brilliant service from Stubbington Medical Practice 😁

    My partner registered with this practice over a year ago and this is the first time he phoned the surgery as his health issue had got a lot worse. He couldn’t get an appointment was told to go to the local pharmacy. The pharmacist told him to go to Gosport hospital and said there is no point in me referring you back to the Drs it’s quicker to be seen by them( I might add the pharmacist diagnosed him incorrectly). He went to Gosport hospital (they were amazing) how Drs, nurses etc should be! They treated him and has told him to go back to the Drs in a couple of days to get the problem checked again. Let’s see how long it takes to get an appointment. Disgusting service!!!

    Note some of the 5 star reviews are from the same people. The practice is notorious with local resident’s as impossible to get to see a doctor. They will ask you to have an consult, dismiss you to Gosport or QA - by daughter has been denied an appointment numerous times meaning we have had to use the hospital as a substitute to seeing a doctor. I have walked in numerous times to try and make an appointment and told to call in the morning. Sometimes you get a call back if they hav not closed same day service. But you do not get to see a doctor. So have expectations very, very low or simply bypass and use Gosport walk in for face to face with a GP.

    Dear patient, I am sorry that you have had difficulties in getting an appointment at the surgery for your daughter. We do release our appointments at 8am each morning for a booking a week in advance but once those appointments have been taken by other patients, then you would be required to ring the next morning or do an e-consult. Currently we also release on line appointments at 7pm each evening. We also run an urgent care list each morning and afternoon but on occasions the team have to close the list as unable to safely manage the number of patients they need to call. In these circumstances we advise patients to contact 111 or seek help from the Pharmacy. I am happy to discuss your concerns by telephone if you wish. Janet Fry Practice Manager

    I was asked to make an appointment over 6 months ago now every time I tried was told there was no appointments avaliable so just gave up trying. Need to make a blood test appointment again sorry there are no appointments. My medication needs looking into as it's making me feel worse told no appointments still try after 7 on line still nothing. This surgery is a totally joke. Now you can't even make an appointment over the phone you have to do it through an e consult. Just totally unbelievable.

    Dear Patient I am sorry you have had cause to complain about making an appointment for a blood test. We have many appointments for blood tests released every day at 7pm. For example tonight we have 30 appointments releasing and tomorrow at 7pm we have 35 appointments releasing so please try then. Please contact the urgent care team if your problem cannot wait for a routine appointment. Please check our website for an update on the changes we are making to improve patient access.     Phoned gave details of my concerns about my father's breathing due to COPD,triage call made to assess! visit of 2 members of the team visited next morning... reassurance and explaining very professionally to help my father deal with his health problems with the support in place!     I called 0800hrs and was placed on nurse triage. Nurse called that morning and I was prescribed antibiotics and asked to provide urine sample. Antibiotics did not work. Called 0800hrs following week and was placed on triage list. Nurse called that morning I was booked telephone call with GP that day. Further antibiotics which did not work. Completed eConsult. Nurse called within the hour and booked face to face GP appointment that day. Saw GP had examination, further samples taken and different medication prescribed which appears to be working. All persons at the practice were very helpful. What a brilliant service this is. I really felt cared for, listened to and respected. I have been with this surgery for many years and have never had a criticism in my mind. Thank you to all the staff at the practice. I am very grateful for the part you play within the NHS.

    To call up and be told out right that you cannot make a dr’s appointment is absurd. Apparently all appointments are released at 8am for the following week and only 7 are available for next week?? All of which have gone and there was a queue of people waiting at the surgery to try and get 1/7 who were then turned away. What happened to being able to speak to a Dr and discuss any health concerns? This is disgusting in this day and age. I mentioned that as a care provider they have a duty to offer a solution to patients and I was met with a solemn note of silence and “yes I agree it’s not good”.

    Dear Natalie Thank you for your message and I am sorry that you are unhappy with our appointment system. You are correct in saying that our appointments are released one week in advance at 8am. I am sure you would have heard or seen in the media that the demand for GP appointments is at its highest level and practices are struggling to meet this demand. Routine appointments are reduced when GP's take leave, especially during school holidays as its difficult to employ locums during these weeks, however we do offer our urgent care service to manage conditions that cannot wait for a routine appointment. Using e-consult for medication queries and sick notes can be helpful and reduce the need for a GP appointment. There are other healthcare professionals within the practice than can help many conditions without the need for a GP appointment and our receptionists are trained to help direct patients into those alternative appointments.
