Went for a smear at my new practice today with The Practice Nurse She was so kind and compassionate whilst undertaking the procedure. We explained everything so clearly and put me at ease. In all my days of having smear tests this one was no doubt the best experience I've had. It's always working when you register at a new GP practice. I must say I am.extremrly impressed so far. Thankyou so much.

I had an appointment with nurse Kristy very kind and professional lady she had to give me an injection which was totally painless really great experience thanks Kristy

The paramedic we saw today was so thorough with her examination of my son. She explained everything to us & gave great advice. We were with her for 30 minutes & did not once feel rushed, just wish I could remember her name!!!!

Had two appointments both on time with very good customer service. Both doctors were caring and considerate and assisted me in my recovery. Would highly recommend.

The staff at Westmeads surgery are always so helpful from the reception staff to the doctors. I managed to get an appointment on the day I rang with the paramedic who in my opinion is just as knowledgeable as a doctor if not more thorough and so friendly. Didn’t feel I was rushed at all. I’ve always felt quite lucky to belong to this practice but especially at a time when the NHS is so stretched they do what they can to look after their patients

My wife and I moved to West Meads surgery in 2022 and have both unfortunately required appointments in recent months. As usual the first point of contact is through the receptionists who are friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Appointments either in person or on the phone have been scheduled on the day if urgent and prescriptions made available within hours. The medical staff are professional, thorough and follow up personally on results of tests if needed. So everything we need from a GP surgery.

Have diabetes 2 since 2004. due to work have 5 doctors / practises. Retiring in 2013 west meads doctors are the first to convince me that diabetes is not a life sentence. so with care and support of all the staff I have lost over 2 stone in weight and reduced insulin to just 10units per day. mental issues have put everything on hold. helpful practise counsellors are being a real help to resolve. Physically I have never felt better in health. I believe it is the help and support of the doctors and the gym staff at a local age uk centre that have between them saved my life and extended my years. all also done in a friendly supportive care. thank you does not seem enough.

My family and I have been patients at the surgery since we moved into the area 20 years ago. Over that time, without exception, the reception staff, nurses and doctors have all always gone above and beyond to ensure that every interaction we have ever had with the surgery has been a happy, kind, reassuring and successful one. The reception staff are always happy, polite, kind, understanding and have never failed to get any member of my family a prompt appointment when required. The nurses are friendly, patient and relatable and offer great advice and support on a wide variety of issues. The doctors are sympathetic, pragmatic, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. I have even had a doctor wait half an hour for me to get to the surgery outside of surgery hours to prescribe my then 2 year old daughter antibiotics for an ear infection to save me from the alternative of having to attend A&E with her on a Friday night to get the same prescription. The surgery and it's staff have supported me and my family through many worrying and challenging times over the years and we are so grateful and thankful to the whole team for all their hard work in what are increasingly challenging times for them all. I deal with many GP surgeries in the area as part of my work and I know the quality of the surgeries is very varied, but I challenge anyone to find a better surgery in West Sussex than West Meads Surgery!
