Almost impossible to get an appointment. Still doing phone appointments first before deciding if face to face appointment is even needed. Have to call 8am on the dot to have any chance of getting a phone appointment that day. Not even able to get appointments for my young children. Since I have had the same recurring pain (3 times in 6 months) I asked for a proper check-up with a specialist but the doctor got very defensive and aggressive and refused saying if I am not happy with his service I should change to a different GP. I was given antibiotics again and told to wait and see if it gets better.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback and we would also like to apologise for your dissatisfaction with your recent visit with us. The practice offers Telephone and Face to face appointments. However Emergency appointments are done via telephone consultation with a GP who then asks the patient to attend the practice if needed. The practice is experiencing very high demand for appointments and Patients who request appointments sooner will be asked to telephone the surgery from 8am the next day to see if there are any appointments available on the day. We do understand that this can be very frustrating for patients when these have all be taken due to the high demand we receive on a daily basis. We always triage children to see if an emergency appointment is needed and book them on the day whenever necessary. Unfortunately as we do not have more details on your consultation, we are unable to comment on why a referral was not done but can confirm that we always review if there is an appropriate need for a referral before we can action this. May we kindly suggest that you contact the surgery and make an appointment with a GP to discuss your issue further. Kindest Regards, Dr Manak Chand - Senior GP
