I just wanted to say what a great experience I had with the phlebotomist whom I’m not allowed to name. The necessary paperwork was nowhere to be found but she found a way round this , was very helpful, empathetic and I didn’t feel a thing!

I contacted the practice about my problem. They were super efficient, helpful and polite. Made me feel totally confident that I was being given the best help and advice. They referred me to the hospital, which is seeing me next week on the 27th. I am extremely pleased and thankful that I have such a great practice for me and my family.

Called the surgery and requested call back from GP . I explained my most recent attempt to make GP request online.. Reception staff was most helpful in signposting me to follow instructions... once I logged on to the surgery's website. The staff was helpful & took my pressing health complaint.

I'm just trying to pass on to the practice a possible issue I've found sending attachments via AskMyGP. I tried send a document earlier saved as a pdf. It didn't go. I opened the pdf and saved its two pages as two individual jpeg image files. When I attached these instead of the pdf, the AskMyGP message went. So it looks like the system is set up to block pdfs. Is this a problem? I suppose it could be but I'll be sending any future docs as jpegs from now on.

Had a same day telephone consultation with a doctor. The doctor clearly explained the treatment options, the pros and cons, and really listened to my views about the options. The doctor took time to call me back to discuss the treatment options thoroughly, having sought colleagues advice. I was very impressed with the attentiveness and her skills in listening to me / discussing the options clearly.

I have been with the practice for 30 years.They still are not seeing face to face patients,as I have a new skin condition I need the doctor to actually see it but was told to describe it over the phone.

Thanks for getting in touch. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience but it is not true that we are not seeing patients face to face. All our Doctors slots are booked by initial phone call (telephone appointment) and then after this conversation you are invited in on the same morning/ afternoon if you need to be examined. We have regularly seen patients face to face since 2018 and continue to do so. If this did not happen for you please get in touch by emailing us directly on lower.claptongp@nhs.net so we can investigate why you were not seen if this was appropriate. You have left an anonymous review so we are not able to investigate further at this time which is a shame.

I had a breast scan in April 2023 at the Sir Ludwig Centre and received no letter with my results. I telephoned the Sir Ludwig Centre but only got though to the GP Practice based there and they had no contact numbers for the outpatient departments or the breast screening dept within their building. I even telephoned Homerton Hospital appointments department to see if they could get in touch with the breast screening unit at the Sir Ludwig Centre but they too were unable to help me. I obviously was anxious to receive the results, especially as my mother died from breast cancer. I got in touch with my GP Practice, Lower Clapton HC at the beginning of July. The reception staff and the Medical Secretary, Christina, continually chased this up for me. Eventually they got my results at the end of July. I am so thankful to the reception staff and Christina for their perseverance, patience and their caring service. They are a wonderful team and a credit to Lower Clapton. The services I and my partner have received from Lower Clapton over the years has been excellent we are lucky to have such a dedicated team of doctors and health professionals.

I work Mon-Fri so I am available to receive a call during my lunch hours 1-2pm or after 4pm. Knowing this, my GP calls outside these hours. Obviously, I have missed both calls. I send another message the following day but the practise is closed at 1pm both Tuesday and Wednesday. This is limiting my access to services as a full time worker.

Sorry you're not happy with the system. We always try to call at the time individuals request but it can be difficult when we are very busy. We do always call twice. We are not closed after 1pm but due to unprecedented demand for the past few weeks we can respond only to urgent requests made by phone after this time. Without knowing what your request was about it is difficult for me to comment on how urgent it is. You could call us anytime between 08:00 and 18:30 if your concern is urgent. Some people prefer to contact us on a day off when they would be able to come in for a face to face appointment if this was thought necessary/ beneficial to assess your health problem fully. Alternatively, we do have extended hours access until 8pm Tuesday-Thursday which can be booked if you specifically request it in your askmyGp message.
