  1. Review titled Lost Perscription

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 09 February 2024

On Thursday 8th February my wife attended the surgery and saw a nurse, the nurse confirmed my wife was very ill with a high temperature and needed antibiotics. The nurse completed the prescription while my wife was in the room and was told it could be collected later that day at the chemist. We called the chemist all day until it closed but no prescription arrived, meaning my wife lost valuable time in taking the antibiotics. We called the surgery again on Friday morning to be told that no persrciption had been raised, how can this be ?. My wife was told she would need to wait to speak to a clinician later which means she will be more that 24 hours without the antibiotics. At the time of writing we are still waiting for some kind of response. I find your service totally inadequate, poor communication, poor management, failing to care.

  2. Review titled Lack of Care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ezra Blake - Posted on 28 April 2024

I am new to the surgery, I have diabetes, heart failure and other comorbidities. Given that I have heart failure and am seen regularly by a heart hospital, I thought I would have had an appointment as a new patient to discuss my health. I have found it impossible to make an appointment for the annual health check - with a Diabetic Nurse. On my first visit to the surgery, I waited so long to see a doctor that I was in pain when I left. I get that you have lots of patients, but I am dismayed at the total lack of care overall and nonchalant attitude of the reception staff. I need a GP service that cares and would definitely not recommend this one. My wife has long-term health condition and not once has GP called to review meds or discuss progress. Our previous surgery was bad but at least the nurse was aware of our conditions and we had online appointments. I have had a bad chect for two months, the anti-biotics have not worked and given that I have heart failure, I tried to get an appointment. Nothing. I must come to the surgery and sit and wait for hours. I feel like just a number in the scheme of things. So depressing.

Thank you for your feedback. I have asked your GP assistant to get in touch with you to schedule all necessary appointments. It appears you have been able to secure appointments previously when you contacted us. I also noticed you called last week to book an appointment but declined it due to an upcoming holiday. We suggested visiting our sit-and-wait clinic for sooner service, which you agreed to. We strive to offer various ways to book appointments based on patient feedback to accommodate as many patients as possible.

  3. Review titled Admin staff undo the good work of GPs

Rated 1 star out of 5

Was suffering with anxiety and was having irratic high blood pressure results at home. Was told to come in to walk in clinic to check on their machine. I was so stressed ...reception person glibly said we donet have a machine. then nothing no apology or explanation. I can make an appointment. I explained that I had been advised to come in to wlak in clinic to use the machine. Again no response. I got upset walked out. Several weeks later got delisted. If you want to be treated like and animal, register here. I was given an appointment with practice manager to discuss but she failed to turn up. A practice that is bad for your health. Shame GP assistants are v good. Reception staff are not capable or trained to deal with health patients.

  5. Review titled A waste of time, energy on the back of family's health

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Gabriel - Posted on 02 January 2024

As a parent of two, it happens that kids get a cold from time to time. In the past year, they were never available to see the kids, and only solution given was to call 111. Every single time. What really got us very disappointed, in December, the kids developed some skin rash. offcourse they couldn't see them, but was offered a telephone appointment. Unfortunately the medication prescribed only made it worst, so we called back explaining the situation. We've been told we have a face to face appointment with a Nurse / Doctor and we should get a message. No message received and the morning we had the appointment we called to confirm. Surprise, we were told we have no appointment and we should call back later that day as they had no other morning availability. We had a call back saying that actually we did have an appointment, but the person was new and didn't know where to look in the system. Only option given was a next day appointment with no possibility for my kids to be seen the same day. Useless to say it meant treatment for our kids is being delayed, had to make new office arrangements for me not being able to get the kids to GP myself the next day and so one. Just stop what you are doing, this is a ridiculous service you are providing, putting in danger people's health, wasting our time and your time- your efficiency must by under the sea level

3 days of calling for an appointment for my daughter, who has a clear infection, no bookable appointments for 2 weeks, told to ring again in the morning or call 111! I was 26 in line today and my husband 38, only to be told no appointments when eventually got through! Took my daughter to the pharmacy, their response, she needs antibiotics, contact your GP!!! Total joke

  10. Review titled Appointment nightmare

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2023

This surgery really needs to review its appointments system/ policy, I put in a repeat prescription for the contraceptive pill, and received a text to call and book an appointment with the nurse for a review, tried to call on Monday after I finished work, I spent 45 mins on hold whilst there were over 20 calls in front of me, decided to call the following morning at 8am, 47 in the queue, absolutely ridiculous !! I do not have the time to spend all day on the phone only to be told to call back tomorrow, when again I will have to queue for hours, it is really not good enough, god knows what would happen in the cases of genuine emergency.
