  1. Review titled impossible to get an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 November 2023

The Drs are very lovely but it's impossible to get an appointment. Staff doesn't take notes so every conversation starts from scratch. I've been trying to get an appointment for weeks for a non-urgent matter to no avail. This is not the first time this is happening.

  2. Review titled Very Helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lynne Thomas - Posted on 30 October 2023

My husband and I have recently moved into the area. The receptionist was very helpful with regard to the forms and making initial appointments for us. She also made an appointment for my husband to have a telephone appointment to request his meds. GP rang during the timescale stipulated and again was very helpful. All surgeries are under pressure and given those pressures I still found this one to be professional, friendly and approachable. Good choice for us.

Dear Lynne Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some feedback. It was lovely this morning to circulate your positive words to the team. I am pleased to hear that the team have helped you and your husband with your move to a new surgery. Your understanding of the current pressures in surgeries is also appreciated. We always welcome feedback, so please do keep us informed of how we are doing. I can always be contacted if you wish to discuss anything. 3. Review titled Seriously unhelpful staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 October 2023

Needed to get a simple declaration note from a GP regarding my Mothers health issues for a legal matter. The receptionist told me that it would have to go to their admin dept and could take 30 days. This is a simple 2 line letter with a doctors signature which would take less than 3 minutes to produce. Diabolical service from a so called caring profession. Another poor review to add to the countless others already left. Disgusting!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience with the surgery. I am sorry that you feel the response from the receptionist did not help you as needed. We do receive a lot of requests for administration work to be completed by the clinical team and it is always difficult to give realistic time frames for forms etc to be completed. If you would like me to look in to this further, I would be happy to come back to you direct. If you would like to contact me, please do so at cpicb.nrmcpatients@nhs.net. Thank you Sam - Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Underwhelming at best

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 October 2023

Not a shining example of communication or service. Sent messages are never really replied to or read fully. Replies are dismissive and cursory at best. Asked about fitness for a return to work and was told 'it's up to you'. No enquirey , interest shown, or advice given. Nurse for a blood test was friendly and efficient as for the rest ... Not seen a doctor in years, phone appointment at best. Never seems crowded or busy. Do they actually have doctors on site or is this just a filtering centre to get rid of perceived 'time wasters'. This poor level of service was confirmed after talking to one of my neighbours who also has the misfortune to be registered here. Would not recommend .

  5. Review titled The worse practice in town

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Nanci Cruz - Posted on 01 November 2022

Since I move in 2019 to the area it’s been an inconsistency service what they provide. Terrible administration, it’s impossible to book an appointment with them and when I want to get seen it’s always over the phone. I’ve been waiting for a reply for as scanner and haven’t heard from anyone neither a follow up from my GP. Paying NHS for the funds going to this, it’s not a deal. They are literally the worse service I had.

  6. Review titled Failing systems and inconsistent advice

Rated 1 star out of 5

My experience has been the same as other reviews. It's almost impossible to get through over the phone. You are held in a queue before eventually being cut off and restarting. When filling in the online appointment form, you then wait all day to see if you are lucky enough get a call. If you dare to miss it by going to the toilet you're cut from the list. I have also had doctors ringing the wrong number so then not getting through to me or ringing when I've specified I'm unavailable. When I have spoken to a GP, they usually dispute what the previous GP has said making it very difficult to trust what I am told. I have been told by more than one GP to go to A+E rather than ring then practice when symptoms occur because then I'll get a referral. I realise the NHS is under great pressure and I am sure that the GPs are doing the best they can. However, rather than posting a response to this review with a series of excuses for the failings, I'd rather the time was spent review existing systems and planning improvements.

  7. Review titled Terrible practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

This surgery isn’t giving no even basic services. Not been able to talk to anybody for hours and days is unacceptable. I called and called and all I get is we are busy call later or if I ever get to the queue to be answered they cut you off when reaching number one. It’s impossible to make appointment, see a dr, talk to someone or even get a blood result. It’s unbelievable and the s impossible this place can have any good review

Dear Anonymous Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn about your experience. It is not clear when you attempted to contact the surgery, in recent weeks we have our highest number of Covid sickness for our staff, since before the pandemic began. Regarding phones, you should not have been cut off, apologies if this has happened to you. However we have been advising patients that you do not need to phone to contact the surgery. Our phone message has mentioned this since it was launched. You click on the link on our website, complete the form and it is then sent to the appropriate team. You will even get an acknowledgment by text. You do not need to join a phone queue. You can even make appointments through this system. If you would like us to look into your issue further, please contact our Patient Services Manager on the following email and we will into your issues further. CAPCCG.NRMCpatients@nhs.net
