Sending messages to your GP surgery
Not all GP surgeries offer this service. If this option is not shown in your app, your GP surgery does not currently provide it.
If your GP surgery offers this service, you'll be able to contact them through the NHS App and you may get a response.
This will usually be sent as:
- a text message
- a phone call
- an NHS App message
You will not be able to reply in the NHS App if your request is unresolved. Contact your GP surgery directly if you still need help.
Important: Messaging is for non-urgent advice
If you need advice now, call your GP surgery, go to 111.nhs.uk or call 111.
