Get the NHS App on an iPhone or iPad
- Select the App Store icon on your device to open the App Store.
- Type NHS App in the search bar and select Search.
- Find the NHS App in the list. The official NHS App shows the NHS logo.
- Select Get. You may be asked to enter your password or use face or fingerprint recognition.
- Wait for the download to finish. Once installed, select Open to launch the app.
Get the NHS App on an Android phone or tablet
- Select the Google Play Store icon to open the Google Play Store.
- Type NHS App the search bar and then select Search.
- Find the NHS App in the list. The official NHS App shows the NHS logo.
- Select Install. You may be asked to enter your password or use face or fingerprint recognition.
- Wait for the download to finish. Once installed, select Open to launch the app.
What you need to download the NHS App
You will need:
- to use one of our supported operating systems
- enough storage on your phone
- your app store account to be set to a country or region that the app is available in
Do not download the NHS App on a device that has had its software restrictions removed (sometimes called a jailbroken device). You can read more about this in the NHS App terms of use.
If you use a shared device, other people may be able to open the NHS App and view your information.

The app is only available in some USA regions for Android users.
