Taking beclometasone tablets with other medicines and herbal supplements - Brand name: Clipper

Cautions with other medicines

Some medicines and beclometasone can affect each other. This increases the chance of you having side effects or it may mean you need to change your dose of beclometasone.

Check with your pharmacist or doctor if you're taking:

  • medicines used to treat HIV such as ritonavir or cobicistat
  • non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or aspirin
  • other medicines that contain steroids such as eczema creams, asthma inhalers, steroid tablets, injections, nasal sprays, eye drops or nose drops

Mixing beclometasone with herbal remedies and supplements

There's not enough information to say that complementary medicines, herbal remedies and supplements are safe to take with beclometasone. They're not tested in the same way as pharmacy and prescription medicines. They're generally not tested for the effect they have on other medicines.

Important: Medicine safety

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you're taking any other medicines, including herbal remedies, vitamins or supplements.
