Minor Injury Units (MIUs) are run by highly skilled specialist practitioners who are able to treat a range of minor conditions.
They treat a range of minor conditions, which occurred during the previous 14 days from injury, including X-ray if appropriate. Please note that X-Ray closes at 17:00 every day (last admitance 16:30)
Sprains and strains;
Traumatic wound infections (not surgical wounds);
Minor burns and scalds;
Head injuries (where the person has not been unconscious);
Insect and animal bites and stings;
Minor eye injuries, and
Cuts, bruising and grazes.
