How to get your test results

 

Results will be given face to face during a routine appointment or over the phone by a doctor. Cervical Smears – Everyone who has a smear carried out at the surgery will receive their results by letter either from the practice,hospital and the National Screening Service. This will tell you the result and follow-up arrangements. If you have not heard after eight weeks please ring in after midday and we will chase the result.

Other Investigations – These will be given personally, by the doctor or the nurse, at a follow-up appointment or by letter

 

 

How to get a prescription

 

Repeat prescription requests can either be dropped into the surgery during opening hours or by completing the on-line form at https://islandmedical.co.uk/prescriptions/.

Please allow 48hrs before collecting your prescription from reception. There may be occasions when the doctors will need to see you before issuing a repeat prescription. We can only process repeat prescriptions, not requests for new medications. If you do require a new medication you will need to book an appointment or speak to one of our doctors on the telephone.
