Youth in Romsey (YIR) are a confidential information, advice and support service for all young people aged between 11 - 25 years dealing with all issues effecting young people.

Sexual health clinicEvery Tuesday from 3:00-5:00, YIR offer a free confidential sexual health clinic. This includes giving out condoms, doing pregnancy tests and undertaking chlamydia tests. They also provide support with relationships and are happy to answer any questions you may have.JOB SHOPYIR offer a job shop where young people can search and apply for part or full time jobs alongside a member of staff. They also help with job applications, cover letters and preparing a CV and are also available if a young person wishes to have a mock interview or needs help preparing for an interview.The job shop is available Monday to Thursday and young people can drop in or can arrange a one-to-one session with a youth worker to discuss their career options.COUNSELLINGThere is a counsellor available to discuss issues such as family problems, bullying, relationships, mental health, depression, self harm and anything else. This is a free and confidential service for young people. Appointments can be made with their counsellor Diana by phone or via e-mail.PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSEYIR hold a ‘Personal Development Course’ every week for young people with disabilities who are looking to find part time or full time work. From this course, they help develop young peoples skills and help them to gain confidence within the workplace.Romsey Youth ConucilWhere they put forward the opinions of young people in Romsey, meets on the first Tuesday of every month at our centre. All young people aged 11-19 are invited to come along to our next meeting.
