About

Whitby and District Disablement Action Group (WhitbyDAG) seeks to enable disabled people to live as independently as possible making informed choices through access to services and information. Based in Whitby town, and covering Whitby and the surrounding rural area, we provide information, advice, guidance and practical services for disabled people and carers including welfare benefits, information on accessible holiday accommodation, accessible holidays, disability groups country-wide, guide books on accessible places to eat and to visit in the local area, handbook of local services, mobility equipment hire scheme, employment support for people with hidden impairments, volunteering opportunities, access advice and guidance.

Opening times

9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am-4.30pm Friday

Access

Accessible building, and accessible mini-bus, trips for members and carers. Outreach Welfare Benefits service. Equipment hire: scooters and wheelchairs (details on our website).
