The WFA was formed in 2005 to govern the sport of Wheelchair Football in England and became a charity incorporated organisation in 2014..
The WFA are recognised by the FA (Football Association) as the sports lead organisation and have their full backing. The WFA currently have 40 clubs throughout England and more than 450 players playing regularly.
The Association currently consists of two Sport Development Officers, Football Coaches, Players and other professionals. At present all the committee members are working on a voluntary basis.
The Association delivers a two tiered national league competition, national cup, 6 regional leagues as well as lead on new club creation and educational courses to support volunteer development. The WFA welcomes new players, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and any one interested in supporting the organisation.
