About

Wealden Talking News is a registered charity dedicated to helping people with visual impairments stay connected with their local community and the wider county through a free audio news and magazine service.

Weekly audio news recordings are produced for listeners across six Sussex areas: Heathfield & District, Crowborough & Uckfield, Hailsham & Polegate, Seaford & Newhaven, Eastbourne, and Brighton & District.

A range of monthly audio magazines is also available to anyone in East or West Sussex, including Sussex Life, Saga Magazine, The People’s Friend, and WTN’s own publication, Listeners’ World. All recordings can also be accessed free of charge via the Wealden Talking News website at wealdentalkingnews.org.uk  via smart speaker or by a weekly email.

News and magazine recordings are supplied on USB memory sticks, and Wealden Talking News is happy to provide a compatible USB player on free loan to anyone who needs one.

Listeners do not need to be registered blind to use the service. Just leave a message on our answerphone at 01435 862  304 or email studio@wealdentalkingnews.org.uk
