About

Vista is the main provider of services to nearly 6,000 registered blind and partially sighted people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We provide vital services and support to children and adults with sight loss in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, including people with sight loss and learning disabilities, sight loss and dementia and people with dual sensory impairment.

Today Vista is the largest provider of services in the area for visually impaired people run by an independent charity and Vista's Community Services are one of the largest and most successful in the country.

Vista has one simple aim which is to give visually impaired people the support they need to enjoy an independent life.

Target group

Vista provides services, support and advice and information to almost 6000 registered blind and partially sighted local people.

Referral method

Optometrists can refer non-registered people to Vista via the Low Vision Leaflet. Or a doctor or General Practitioner can refer a patient to one of the city or county hospitals who will refer people to Vista.
