About

Together for Mental Wellbeing offer a statutory advocacy service.

If you meet any of the criteria below then advocacy may be able to help you.

· Independent Mental Health Advocacy – for someone detained under the mental health act, such as section 2 or section 3

· Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy – for someone who lacks capacity to make a decision regarding serious medical treatment or long term accommodation and has no one to consult other than paid carers

· Care Act Advocacy – for someone taking part in a local authority care review/needs assessment or safeguarding enquiry

· DoLS RPR – for someone with restrictions placed on their liberty in accordance with Mental Capacity Act legislation.

We also facilitate peer support groups for adults with learning disabilities and adults with Autism

Target group

Adults with mental health conditions, Adults with learning disabilities,  Adults with autism, Adults with dementia

Referral method

Referral from Community Mental Health Team, other services or self-referral
