Referral method

The service user is referred to our team by their GP. All service users receiving ongoing support from the team will be asked whether there is someone that they wish to involve in their treatment and care. We would encourage this, particularly if there is a family member or friend who gives a lot of support generally or when the service user is unwell. This person would ordinarily be described as the carer but this does not mean that they live with the service user or even see them every day.
