Description of service
A network of women and organisations around the UK, part of the UNAIDS-coordinated Global Coalition on Women and AIDS. Core objectives are the protection and promotion of the good health of women, in particular women who are HIV-positive or who are at risk of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV. Promotes prevention and treatment for women living with HIV, both in the UK and internationally, increases awareness and understanding of women's sexual health, HIV and Aids amongst health care and other professionals, service providers and the public. Endeavour to uphold the principle of GIPA- the meaningful involvement of women living with HIV.
