The NHS Health Check service is available at various community venues across Sefton.

Referral method

If you’re aged between 40 and 74 you may be eligible for a FREE NHS Health Check that can help you live a longer and healthier life.

The NHS Health Check programme aims to prevent heart disease stroke diabetes and kidney disease. If you don’t already have one of these conditions you can have an NHS health check once every five years.

Description of service

The NHS Health Check is a simple check of your heart health. Aimed at adults in England aged 40 to 74, it checks your vascular or circulatory health and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses. It is free of charge, including any follow-up tests or appointments.
