About

  • Ryedale Special Families is an independent charity founded in the early 1990's by a group of parents of disabled children. The work is managed by parent trustees supported by an advisory panel of special needs professionals. We support families in 4 ways - respite care in the home and the community
  • social groups covering ages from early years to young adults,operating on a weekly or fortnightly basis with lots of sessions during the school holidays
  • family activities, a diverse range of events for the whole family to enjoy
  • information and advocacy covering a wide range of topics including educational issues and housing. We provide this service to families who live in Ryedale, North Yorkshire.

Opening times

9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 3pm Friday

Families of children and young people (aged 0 to 25 years) with disabilities, additional needs or illness in the Ryedale area.

Referrals can be through professionals, relatives, friends or self referral.
