About

REMAP is a charity specialising in the creation of individually tailored solutions to help with particular aspects of a disability, either by adapting existing items or by creating a new one. REMPA's volunteers come from many practical disciplines, engineering, electrical, mechanical, the caring professions etc, focussing their skills and creativity on solving a particular problem met by a disabled person. They work with the healthcare professionals and the patient to carefully define the need, and then develop a solution to give real enhancement to the quality of life of the patient. Their time and energy and, in most cases, the resulting equipment are given free. Visits are made until the item precisely meets the needs of the individual patient. We are part of a nationwide network of groups who also share their knowledge and creativity with one another to enable them to make a real difference to the lives of those in need. REMAP volunteers are insured.
