About
- We enable families to manage everyday life while caring for a sick child and to make the most of time together
- providing expert, practical and emotional support via a Family Support Worker. Families have complete choice about the type of support they receive - wherever and whenever they need it.
Opening times
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
Catchment area
Our North East team covers Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teesside, Redcar and Cleveland.
Target group
We support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents. Any family can receive support from the moment of their child or young person’s diagnosis.
Further information
Our support is hugely varied and depends on the needs of the families. Support may include all or some of the following: • Family Support • Sibling support • Home support• Hospital support • Bereavement support
Referral method
Anyone can refer a family to us (for example, a family member, friend, health, education or social care professional) provided consent from the family has been given for the referral to be made.
