Open Age provides a wide range of physical, creative and mentally stimulating activities to enable older people to develop new skills, fulfil their potential, and encourage social interaction, thus helping reduce loneliness, isolation and depression.

Services Open Age provides are:Community Based Activities each week which are: • Activity Sessions• Computer classes & Drop-In Sessions• Creative & Performing Arts Sessions• Language & Special Interest Groups• General Discussion & Social Groups• Trips, Outings & Meet, Eat and Learn (MEAL) GroupsIn addition they provide the following programmes:• Time for Me – Activities, Social Support & Fun for Unpaid Carers aged 50+• Link-Up – Linking vulnerable people (possibly through bereavement, health issues etc) on a 1 to 1 basis into activities• Telephone based Activity Sessions and Book Groups for the Housebound• New Futures 50+ Employment Programmes – Matrix accredited information, advice & guidance to support long term unemployed people aged 50+ into employment or training• Steady & Stable Programmes – Support for people prone to falling, and training sessions for Health professionals to expand the knowledge borough wide• Healthy Lungs – Special programmes for people with breathing issues
