This service is available to eligible residents or patients registered to a GP in this catchment area.

Referral method

If you're in the 40 to 74 age group without a pre-existing condition you can expect to receive a letter from your GP inviting you for a free NHS Health Check every 5 years.

If you have not heard from your GP but think you are due your NHS Health Check speak to your GP to find out more.

Description of service

The NHS Health Check is a simple check of your heart health. Aimed at adults in England aged 40 to 74, it checks your vascular or circulatory health and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses. It is free of charge, including any follow-up tests or appointments.

Service type

The NHS Health Check service is available at GP practices some pharmacies and in various community and workplace settings across the North Northamptonshire catchment area.
