Newcastle Libraries can deliver a bag of books or audiobooks to your door each month. You can use this service if: you are unable to visit your local library due to either permanent or temporary ill health, or you have a permanent disability.

Target group
Anyone living in Newcastle who due to ill health permanently or temporarily is unable to regularly visit the library. Also anyone who has caring responsibilities.
Referral method
Readers can be referred by anyone, whether a relative, friend or carer. You can apply direct to us or through your local library.
