About

The Jumbulance Trust is a national charity that makes it possible for those who live with a disability, long-term health condition or who have a complex need (adults, children and dependent older people) to undertake holidays and day trips which for many, would be practically impossible in any other way. A trip on a Jumbulance breaks-down isolation and loneliness, brings a valued break to family carers and empowers individuals to have choice and control in their lives.

As the name suggests our vehicles are effectively luxury “jumbo ambulances”. Each has ambulance status and discretely carries comprehensive emergency medical equipment without compromising space and comfort. There are many special features, which make these bespoke vehicles the perfect way to go on holiday.

The Jumbulance Trust is supported by a national network of local groups who organise holidays and trips. Each holiday comprises experienced empathic Driver, a Group Leader, volunteer helpers: members of the public plus those with specialist medical knowledge: Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and… lots of laughter! Holidays run anywhere where people go on holiday. The Scottish Highlands, Norfolk, Lake District, North Wales… you name it, the Jumbulance goes there. We also undertake regular trips overseas to France, the Netherlands and further afield to Germany, Italy, Austria and Poland. The Trust also runs an assisted ski programme during the winter.

You can also hire a Jumbulance for your own group to use.
