About

HAYA is a not-for-profit making charity organisation which was founded in the 2001 as a result of the large influx of refugees arriving in the United Kingdom during the civil war in Somalia.

The caring project started in 2009. The caring project was set up primarily to help the refugees elders and young people to find homes, schools, health services etc dedicated to provide caring services. We do this to breakdown isolation and combat alienation and despair amongst young refugees, by supporting opportunities for their development.

We aim to create a caring environment of friendship and belonging where people gain strength and power, collectively and as individuals, through creative learning.
