About
Young carers aged between seven and seventeen are welcome to attend. The project aims to give young carers a break from the daily responsibilities of being a carer. It is an opportunity to mix with other young carers in a social setting and engage in sports and leisure activities as well as providing advice and guidance in any issues that maybe concerning a young carer. Activities include art, drama, photography, canoeing, biking, climbing and other activities as decided by the young people who attend.
Through club based and non club based activities the young carers will be supported by staff members to develop their self esteem and self confidence through group-based and individual activities.
Separate sessions are often held for each of the following age groups:
- Age 7 to 12
- Age 12 to 17
