About

We empower unpaid carers and the communities we serve by amplifying voices, encouraging self-advocacy, and providing opportunities for positive change and improved wellbeing. At Carers Plus Yorkshire, we deliver support across two key service areas. Our Adult Service (18+) provides tailored help for unpaid carers and unpaid carers in the Armed Forces community, home from hospital support, employability and training opportunities, as well as a range of community support for individuals who are ready to independently connect and access provision within their community. Our Young People’s Service support unpaid young carers and young adult carers (including sibling carers), working with those aged 8–18, or up to 24 for young people with SEND.

In addition, we offer a range of professional opportunities that support organisations to become more carer-aware and inclusive. We work with professionals, employers and schools to strengthen leadership, enhance workplace wellbeing, and build carer-friendly cultures. Our training equips organisations with insight into the realities of unpaid carers, alongside practical tools, ongoing guidance, and resources to enable lasting support.
