About

Carers’ Resource exists to support unpaid carers in Bradford, Craven, Harrogate and Selby. We provide information, advice and support to carers, to the people they care for and to professionals who work with them.  A carer is anyone who looks after – unpaid – a family member, friend or neighbour who, due to disability, physical or mental health condition, illness, frailty, or addiction, cannot cope without their support.

Opening times

  • Phone lines open Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm
  • Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Selby, Tadcaster, Sherburn in Elmet, South Milford (Area previously covered by Selby District Council)

Carers, young carers

Further information

  • Support for adult carers includes practical and emotional support
  • wellbeing activities and peer support groups
  • referrals and signposting to support and services
  • navigating health and social care system. Young Carer service for 8-18 includes mentoring, peer support groups and trip and activities.

Referral method

Self or professional referrals accepted for any carer (with consent) via website or phone.
