About

Care for the Carers is an independent charity which supports unpaid carers in East Sussex who look after a relative, friend or neighbour who is frail, disabled, and/or has a long term illness.

We are the Carers’ Centre for East Sussex and a network partner of Carers Trust.

As the Carers Centre for East Sussex, we aim to support and empower carers throughout the county by offering information, practical and emotional advice, groups, activities, events and a range of services that are specifically tailored to the needs of East Sussex carers.

Opening times

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm. If you would like to visit us at the office, please call and make an appointment as our support workers are often out visiting carers.

For many carers, getting out & about and meeting up with other carers is a key way to look after themselves and take a break from their caring role. Events, groups and social & training opportunities are an important part of our work, and are valued greatly by those that attend. Referral method

Self referral. If you are a friend or family member of a carer and you would like to refer them to our services, please ensure that you have their consent and get in touch. Give us a call or complete the contact form on the care for carers website.
