About

Bact provides accessible transport for those living in the Waveney area of East Suffolk and the southern area of South Norfolk for whom other forms of public transport are not easily available.

The majority of our services are for transport to medical centres/hospitals and day centres we also provide transport for shopping, visiting friends and family and as a transport feeder.

The organisation is based on a non-profit basis with the aim of covering costs and providing a continuing service in the area.  This is done by a mix of services including community cars, dial a ride (in minibuses) and our own accessible wheelchair transport vehicles.

Elderly, vulnerable and those with mobility issues or those living in rurally isolated areas with no public transport.

Further information

Current SituationWe are not currently operating normal services due to the distancing issues.  We are however, continuing to undertake as many medical journeys as we possibly can with the limited number of volunteers we currently have driving for us and this transport is being undertaken in minibuses and our wheelchair accessible vehicles where it is possible to get the 1m + distance.
