Aspires groups provide a fun and safe environment for young people with ASD, where they are supported to develop and improve their social skills, confidence, self-esteem and independence. Young people attend weekly sessions (term time only) during which there are structured group activities. The overall aim of Aspires is to enable young people to access mainstream social activities.

Target group
To access the Aspires service, young people need a definite medical diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder, be aged 8 – 18 years and be in mainstream Education or of mainstream cognitive ability.
Referral method
A parent, a social worker, a family support worker, a teacher or SENCO etc.
