- Provides care of HIV-positive children and adolescents, follow-up of babies born to HIV-positive women
- pre- and post-HIV test counselling
- referral to voluntary agencies
- same-day results for HIV testing
- medical and nursing management of the paediatric patient, including consultant review and nurse specialist support
- nursing care for children who are HIV positive in the hospital, community and home
- care for family members affected by HIV, including infants of HIV-positive women
- public awareness and education, counselling and training: and links with adult hospitals to ensure children of HIV positive parents are tested.
