  1. Review titled Lack of communication from talking therapies

    by ebeb2345 - Posted on 08 August 2023

I was told to refer myself for talking therapies and the experience was pretty awful. I asked from the on set that due to my anxieties I prefer to we told what to expect such as when I would hear back regarding my referral and what day/time of day I could be expected to be contacted. The service informed me that I would be called at this certain day and time and then I never heard a thing. This makes my anxiety worse, expecting a call then not to receive it is very stressful. I had to chase the service after 3 weeks to ask what was happening on 2 occasions so several weeks went by where I was left in a stressed limbo of not knowing if I was due to be taken on by the service or not. I then was told there had been several meeting to discuss my case, which I did not know was happening or what had been said about me. I felt blind sided and never told what was going on. In the end I was told I would be referred on to Specialist psychological Intervention service which was fine, but why the long wait and so many meeting to discuss my case and not communicate this to me. I had said from the start I needed to know what was happening, to know what to expect, no one had that conversation with me and there was a lack of communication, given no timelines and I felt out of the loop. The guy I spoke to was nice but the rest was awful.

  2. Review titled Booking line for podiatry

    by ebeb2345 - Posted on 10 February 2023

I had an appointment for podiatry at West Mendip Hospital, I didn't end up having my appointment and after a 45 min drive, which my husband had to book time off from work to take me as I don't drive I was very disappointed to find that my appointment had been cancelled. I had no notification, no phone call or letter to say the appointment had been cancelled and on top of that I was informed I have been taken off the system! I have tried to get through on the booking line 5 times and my last attempt i ended the call when I was still 14th in the queue. The hospital receptionist were lovely and also tried to get through to the booking line on my behalf. The booking line staff we spoke to were rude and unhelpful to myself and the hospital reception staff. Ive been waiting since 2019 for this appointment and now to be told Im off the system is infuriating.

If I don't hear from you rest assured I will make sure we look into this as much as we can. 3. Review titled Lack of long Covid support

by Still suffering LC warrior - Posted on 23 February 2023

I tested positive in September 2021 and had a fairly mild case which seemed to last for a couple of weeks. My recovery was going well but then I started to crash and I didn’t know why. I tried to get help from my GP and was referred to the long Covid clinic, but this has been of no help whatsoever. Firstly a video group call with a GP spending no more than 5 minutes with each person on the call then a sweeping diagnosis and treatment plan which was completely irrelevant to me. I was referred to a fatigue clinic, even though I was able to exercise without crashing but I had ongoing problems with numerous neurological issues including sensory overload, tremors, tinnitus, memory problems, etc. I challenged the online GP regarding this and was told my neurological problems were probably hereditary. So off I went to the fatigue clinic and, as expected, found it of no use to me as I wasn’t suffering from fatigue. I am still unwell and left feeling like I’ve been processed by the NHS but not listened to. I am sure the fact I didn’t request a follow up within 12 weeks of my fatigue clinic has been scored as a win by the NHS and this makes me very unhappy. I have not been treated appropriately and the NHS has failed to do anything to help with my problems.
