  1. Review titled Let down by both Admin and Consultant

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 September 2023

Although the initial call-centre staff experience was useless, my first appointment with one of Inhealth's Audiologists was excellent. I found her very attentive, kind and professional. I needed a chaperone for my 2nd appointment with a male consultant, but found myself having this chase up, right until the morning of my appointment, as the promised return calls never happened - v. stressful. The `chaperone' provided seemed to have no idea she was supposed to stay with me and kept leaving the room which was also caused me considerable anxiety. The Consultant clearly hadn't read my medical records of previous hearing/vertigo issues as he put `none reported' and seemed to think it was amusing that I'd experienced pain at the procedure he did! He also invaded my personal space when I felt it unnecessary. I ended up so stressed I just needed to get out. The cause of my hearing loss wasn't explained or whether it was likely to worsen over time. Very upset. If this is private healthcare in the NHS, it's the basement end. Avoid if possible.

  2. Review titled Mri cancelled twice

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 July 2023

My wife was referred fir a full spine Mri with Inhealth, the first appointment was cancelled by text message 5 hours before the appointment, another appointment was offered 22 days later which was also cancelled by phone when we were already on our way to the appointment. On both occasions they said the machine was broken and the parts are not in the Uk (I strongly suspect that this may not be the case as the receptionist knew nothing about any machine fault). The next available appointment is now August 18th, so it would seem that if your appointment is cancelled you're just put to bottom of the list. The Nhs charter states that if a procedure is cancelled for non-clincal reasons you must be offered a new appointment within 28 days so they are now in breach of this charter and frankly don't seem to care at all. Unfortunately the Physio department are forced to use this poor excuse for a company despite many other companies telling me that they can book a scan I 3-4 days and that they also partner with the Nhs. Currently now trying to get an e-consult to try to arrange a scan with company which actually can fulfil their obligations. Along with our time being wasted, every time the Mri is cancelled 4 other medical appointments have to be rearranged which has a financial impact on the Nhs so I have no idea why they continue to partner with this company when there are far better ones available. Sorry for the poor grammar, you're no allowed to use all capital letters ina word which means acronyms can't be written properly)

I had my appointment in colonoscopy mobile unit at the Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset. The staff were friendly, professional and informative. I was seen straight away and made to feel comfortable.

  4. Review titled Lack of customer service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Sonja van Reede - Posted on 19 May 2023

I got referred here for audiology and received an invite for an assessment. Because I didn't want to waste anyone's time (because: wait lists), I kindly cancelled the appointment. The person I spoke with on the phone to cancel the appointment did not tell me that meant that I was removed from Inhealth's care. The two people I spoke with to order new tubes and domes also didn't mention this. I'm shocked by Inhealth's lack of customer service and incompetence, not to mention how their bureaucracy wastes my time, my GP's time, and the time of the clinician's who have to do useless assessments solely so patients can remain in the Inhealth care system. Surely with all the NHS wait lists, there must be better ways of doing this. Inhealth however does not seem to care at all.

  5. Review titled Poor scheduling, poor service, poor all round.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 30 May 2023

Have a Danalogic set of hearing aids from Peterborough's InHealth Audiology dept, had two units develop catastrophic failures in 12 months, trying to get a repair/replacement appointment with them is shocking, they need to understand that without the aid(s) we are essentially deaf and expecting those who have faulty unit(s) to wait 7-8 weeks for an appointment (both times) is utterly unacceptable and shambolic, it isolates us from many day-to-do day activities most can take for granted and they show no sympathy or empathy whatsoever. I'm now stuck, severely deaf on one side for over a month because they cant get me in sooner or even programme a spare for me to collect to use in the meantime, yet when you go for an appointment theres usually a few of them standing around chatting or mooching about.

  6. Review titled 1 hour waiting, MRI

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Kevin Cameron - Posted on 29 May 2023

I had a MRI booked and asked to arrive at 15:00, I arrived at 14:50. The MRI did not happen until 16:00, costing me extra money in parking and such. Contrast had to be done which was not done well as it bled enough to need cleaning up during and after the MRI and changing the covering for the arm.

  7. Review titled Kingston hospital mri absolute chaos

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 March 2023

I was supposed to have an mri tonight. I called weeks ago to confirm but seemingly they didn't note that, so I got another call yesterday at 5:30pm which I couldn't pick up until after 6pm when they are closed. They say they are open 9-6pm and to confirm your appointment, call between 12 and 5pm. I started calling at 9am today. I called 14 times and left at least three voicemails leaving my name and my number asking someone to call back. No one did. The phones just ring and ring. So I go to the hospital over an hour before my supposed appointment to find out it's been cancelled. The receptionist took no accountability and blamed the phones on another team and claimed she was admin. I tried to ask repeatedly why ask us to call to confirm if no one answers, or, who actually listens to the voicemails? She kept blaming everyone else and when the same thing happened to another lady, she couldn't even offer her an email address to complain to. Prior to this experience, I've had multiple mri's at Inhealth in Kingston and have never experienced anything like it. The radiographer refused to fit me in and in previous times, actually went out of their way to fit me in earlier. I can only assume they've had budget cuts which translates to horrendous customer service. I also don't appreciate being shouted at by your receptionist when I am asking perfectly reasonable questions. She was incredibly evasive and her only 'saving grace' was that there were spare appointments for tomorrow. I suspect they could have fit me in today but chose not to. Classy service. You're in the business of healthcare and you treat people like rubbish, time for the nhs to cut you!

  9. Review titled Disgusting service. Total inflexibility.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 November 2022

Referral from GP for Echocardiogram. Phoned to make appt. Politely told them that I work shift hours so apologies in advance. Answer - "Well we'll see what we've got". Offered an appt on 20th Dec. I'm on holiday from 14th Dec to 1st Jan 23. Answer - Well we'll close your case and state to GP you were uncontactable. I stated that I know I have got about four days off work when I get back from hols. Answer - We haven't got January's diary yet. I asked the Customer Service person not to close the case. I will phone every day until I go away on 10th Dec to see if January's diary was now available. Answer - No, your referral will be outside our time limit. Get your GP to refer you again when you get back. I stated that all the January appts will be gone by then. We just went round in circles and I got no where fast. How can you just be offered one appointment and then case closed. Absolutely amazed that the NHS accept and pay for such an appalling service. I have now got to worry into next year.
