  1. Review titled 8 hours wait

Rated 1 star out of 5

by MAL - Posted on 23 March 2024

After initial assessment , was reffered to this Badger birmingham. Call advisor rang and said you are looking at 8 hours minimum wait… Is this a joke. No names given so that can’t be reported and highlights particular individual letting teh whole team down… so what to do ? Wait, Wait or can’t be bothered…… can NHS recommend any private care please ? Thanks

  2. Review titled Please do better

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I called 111, they referred me to badger, badger called me and put me in a waiting room thing, they hung up and sent me a message about how I was unavailable and needed to call back if I still need an appointment. I called the number they called from and got a robot saying nothing useful that auto hangs up. How am I meant to know what to do? I can't call back, NHS 111 says don't call back unless you feel worse. Do better. When I did get the call the person talked over me.

  3. Review titled This is why Government wants to privatise the NHS

Rated 1 star out of 5

111 took details and passed to Badger. Badger doctor called an hr later and said he needed to go to Badger Centre and gave me urgent treatment service website address and number. Said if I can't book him in online, they can. Two hrs of no appointments for the 3 sites they limited me to, so I called the number. They said more will become available, but can't say when, so I need to keep checking.....like that's the only thing I have to do all day. 2 hours later, I find an appt at Stockland Green but went to book it but it kept saying select a time....which I had done. Called number again and woman said slot is probably gone. I told her I'd been trying all day and she basically told me to keep trying. Went to leave lengthy negative review of Badger service and how stupid and pointless it is and how unhelpful its staff are and how rubbish their website is, cos: 1. Only 1 child can be registered to 1 mobile number, so if you have 6 kids, you need 6 numbers, 2. You have to know your kids' NHS number, or you can't register on the site 3. They restrict your search to 3 supposedly local centres (the 3rd option I had was Solihull hospital, which is not actually near me. Its like a 40 minute drive away). So I basically, my sone was not seen by anyone and I've ended up having to leave it. Will call my GP tomorrow instead. Someone needs to do a full review of everything Badger service related as they're giving the NHS a bad reputation.

  4. Review titled A Broken System with dangerous flaws

Rated 1 star out of 5

i called in to 111 with a breathing difficulty. i was told badger would call me back. which they did, i then had the same two conversations i had with 111 representatives only to be told a website from which i could book an appointment at 23:00. i created an account and logged onto this service at 23:00 sharp, only to find there were no appointments for any of the 3 locations available to me. i called 111 and explained the issue who flagged badger to call me back as there was no way to contact badger directly. i was then treated like a new patient, even after i explained what had happened. the first caller advised he was only able to flag my number for a call back from a medical professional and could do nothing himself. i told him don’t bother; i don't want a call in the middle of the night only to be told they can't do anything either. lo and behold i received 2 further phone calls from this number later into the night. my concerns are these: 1, why do they operate on a "fastest-finger" approach to book appointments for medical attention? i'm not booking for taylor swift; i am having trouble breathing. this is not something that should be decided by who is the faster typist or has the best internet connection. 2, why am i booking anything at all? if i need to be seen why aren't badger booking me into the next appropriately available appointment relative to how serious my issue is? 3, why am i having the same two conversations with badger i already had with the 111 service? that's just poor communication turned into woeful misallocations of tax-payer money. in short, this is a very good example of what is wrong with the uk healthcare and a potent reminder for any citizen well-off enough to do so to go private healthcare.

  6. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Hello, I recently attended Badgers Medical Centre Solihull. What a great service - I telephoned and was given a face to face appointment within three hours. The doctor who I am not allowed to name, was very caring, explained my condition clearly to me, and gave the medicine i needed. Definitely 5 stars!

  7. Review titled Rude and patronising

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 July 2023

The badger clinic representative called me back after 3 hours, he was rude and patronising, whilst asking my symptoms he spoke over me multiple times, he then told me I had to make an appointment at Aston Clinic, when I explained I was told by my doctors office to call and I would be able to have my medication prescribed he accused of lying saying “why would they tell you to call me if you’ve already spoken to a doctor” I tried to explain it was the receptionist who referred me as it was a 2 week wait for an appointment with a doctor whilst he spoke over me multiple times continuing to say how a doctor wouldn’t refer me to them and he then said “well they aren’t a medical professional so they don’t know why they’re talking about” I felt very put off and disappointed having previously had positive experiences with this service, should he of been professional and friendly I would’ve been happy with the information he gave me but instead his rude and abrupt manor that made me feel like I was a nuisance to him has left me feeling extremely disappointed, I sincerely hope that someone listens back to the call this man had with me and provides him with some serious training in customer care so that no one else is left feeling patronised and upset when all they were hoping for was some genuine kind help and advice.
