  1. Review titled Outstanding care

I was taken to Wythenshawe A&E by ambulance yesterday due to a fall i had. Within 30 minutes i had been booked in and xrays done. I had fractured my foot in 2 places. From my admittance to home was under 4 hours. The efficiency and care was outstanding. I honestly, expected a very long wait and a lot of frustration. Well done and a massive thank you to the staff. We know the NHS are overstretched, undervalued and under paid, however the staff at A&E gave such great patient care. Again, thank you so much!!!!!!

  2. Review titled Excellent care and service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My brother and I took my sister to a&e on Saturday 20th June. We arrived at 15.40. The message board displayed a 4 hour wait time. By 16.00 she was triaged and had bloods taken. Then about an hour later she saw a doctor and was taken for an xray. We left after an assessment and treatment about 21.00 and with a follow up appointment for the next day, Sunday, for an ultrasound in Sdec. On Sunday, she got the ultrasound plus a cat scan and discharged after assessments and consultations with Manchester Royal Infirmary and orthopaedics. My brother and I had to leave for the airport as we were visiting from Ireland. The care and attention my sister received was outstanding. The a&e was the most calm and clean a&e I have ever experienced. The wait times were communicated and short compared to what we are used to. All the staff - nurses, doctors, admin and porters - were very friendly and pleasant with endless patience. While in Sdec we were offered and served very welcome refreshments by a pleasant smiley man and we gratefully accepted the service on two occasions. This all took place on a weekend during a junior doctors strike. I cannot commend the nhs and Wythenshawe Hospital enough and have told many friends since arriving home. Most ask me if I was sure we were in a public hospital and not a private one! I want to thank all the staff who made our time as pleasant as it could possibly be under stressful circumstances and to let you know that you make a difference. The nhs are lucky to have people like you working for them. I cannot thank you enough.
