  1. Review titled Wonderful team and hospital

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michelle - Posted on 27 March 2024

Had two wisdom teeth extracted in March 2024 under general anaesthetic. The hospital was very clean. Every person who spoke to me (admin, nurses, anaesthetist and surgeon) was polite, kind, caring, knowledgeable, respectful and efficient. You could tell they were a good team because they all seemed happy in their work, and were friendly and helpful with each other. The surgery went well, as has my recovery so far. Before I left hospital, they gave clear instructions (verbally and in writing) about medication and aftercare services if I needed them during my recovery. Absolutely amazing team of people. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hospital.

  2. Review titled What a super hospital with really kind and caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 April 2023

I brought my Mum in for a colonoscopy and everyone without exception was super kind, considerate and excellent with my Mum, who was a bit nervous. Reception was efficient and friendly, the Colonoscopy team were wonderful - it's not the most dignified thing to have done but they really put her at ease. Everything ran to time and my Mum came out, was really well afterwards and said how lovely they all were. We are so lucky to have such a great hospital in Wimborne thank you so much to everyone concerned.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for sharing your experience with us and highlighting how friendly and efficient the service was while looking after your mum. Having a colonoscopy is quite an intimate procedure and many people feel anxious beforehand, but overwhelmingly we get so many positive comments about how kind and compassionate the staff were and how the procedure was far less troubling than they expected and this is always good to hear and helpful for future patients, to calm their nervousness about having similar procedures. We will share your comments with the team who I know will appreciate your kind words. Regards Patient Experience Team

  3. Review titled Horrible experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

I had an awful experience at this hospital. I was referred to have two wisdom teeth removed. Prior to my appointment my GP informed me that my blood tests showed signs of infection and told me to request antibiotics from the surgeon for after surgery. I did so and was denied. Two days later I was in A&E with a raging infection before being moved to a ward for an inpatient stay. I legitimately could've died all over the surgeons pride regarding "I never prescribe antibiotics because they aren't necessary". When I got in touch with the them as I was instructed to if there were any complications nobody ever got back to me. To this day nobody has ever contacted me. I would never recommend having oral surgery here.
