I would like to echo the positive comments regarding the care provided by the Urgent Treatment Centre, following my visit there whilst on holiday in the Peak District. After falling and injuring my chin, I arrived at Whitworth Hospital looking for a walk-in centre. The care I received whilst there was exemplary. I was seen to quickly, treated rapidly and experienced an outstanding level of service. Many thanks to the team.

Secured appointment through 111 service as my daughter had bacterial tonsillitis. Seen quickly by nurse practitioner, very professional, given a prescription for antibiotics there and then. Very grateful for this invaluable service.

Following a minor accident I visited Whitworth, saw a very professional, helpful and happy nurse who sorted my injury. All the staff were helpful, thanks and praise to you all.

Hi there. I was touring in my campervan at the time and started to suffer from a severe infection. I contacted the hospital and I arrived around 30mins later. Very friendly receptionists, got seen by the nurse quite quickly and that was followed almost immediately by the staff nurse. I got my prescription and other meds and went on my way. I was very pleased and relieved to have been seen to so quickly. Thanks again! James.

I’ve tried to leave a review before but doesn’t seem to have been registered - I have persevered because I want to document my thanks for such wonderful professionalism. My friend hurt her foot after sustaining a fall at height whilst helping me redecorate. Her ankle a was swollen and in obvious pain- offered an x ray and felt so lucky to have access to this service on our doorstep on a Saturday evening. x ray showed a break and the nurse was brilliant - so open, honest and caring - really appreciated that - thank you so much

Our experience of the Whitworth has always been excellent. Got an appointment via 111 and was seen quickly, diagnosed, prescribed and medication provided there and then. Friendly and professional.

Came in with football injury without an appointment - they saw me at triage then made me an appointment for later that morning. Had the very best service from friendliest staff. Helpful and informative.

I have been looked after 4 times over the past two weeks due to a foot injury, and every time the nursing staff have been incredibly patient and caring. We are so lucky to have this excellent service. Thank you to all the staff who make this standard of service possible & thank you in particular to all those who have had to put up with me! J

As an arthritic 87 year old, I have seen a fair few hospitals. The team at this place stand out for their welcome, and their overall friendly and efficient service. I have no hesitation in recommending the treatment at this hospital. I was visiting family and needed my arthritic feet and leg ulcer dressing. The appointments worked perfectly- never waiting for long and the care here can only be described as superb - thank you so much- a good job well done by caring and knowledgable NHS staff.
