I have just had my second hip replacement. As before the professionalism and skill of the surgical team and the standard of care received in recovery and on the ward has been first rate. I could not be in better hands. Well done NHS!

Thank you to the amazing staff who are so kind, reassuring and thorough in their jobs. All the staff are so happy and helpful. I felt very looked after and I was only an outpatient. I would thoroughly recommend the hospital to anyone needing any level of care as I am sure the staff would do a great job.

Extra clinic arranged on a Saturday to see orthopedic consultant after having a fall and had problem with hand . Was seen on time and received first class treatment in a friendly yet professional manner . Perfect example of how nhs can work . Can't fault the consultant, treatment, department staff or the hospital .

  4. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From the moment of arrival and departure 10 hours later on 14 February I was impressed by the calm, efficient, friendly, smooth and thorough treatment and tests I underwent. It was almost a complete healthcheck to eliminate a possible heart condition and the results of the tests and scans were delivered in a very clear and reassuring way. I much liked the calm, caring and unhurried atmosphere in what was a very busy department. I also appreciated the sandwiches and snacks my friends were able to purchase while we waited for the next stage. My greatest thanks to the staff on duty whilst I was there.

My wife was taken into hospital with suspected stroke or blood clot speech was slurred could not stay awake didn’t know date or what day it was the ambulance crew were great but when we got to the hospital they done blood test and scan and kept her in the next day a dr came round the ward and said the test look ok so I’m afraid we don’t know what’s wrong with you your speech is still slurred but because we don’t what’s wrong with you we will send you home and said we will refer you to a neurologist how long that take we have no idea so I ask the dr could it have been that she had a blood clot that dissolved yes it could have been she said so I said well can you at least increase her Blood thinner meds until she sees the neurologist because she already had a minor stroke a few years ago and shes only on a low dose and if was a blood clot it did not stop her from having one no we can’t do that the consultant said so even thou her speech was still slurred etc they still just sent her home this truly is a terrible hospital

  6. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently had an endoscopy here and I was honestly treated wonderfully. I was feeling incredibly poorly that day but I was looked after perfectly from start to finish. From receptionists to after care 10/10. Everything was explained to me incredibly well, from what the actual procedure involved, to what I might feel like while it was being done. I was reassured by and had confidence in the lovely lady doing the actual endoscopy, I even had a sweet nurse provide comfort by rubbing my back as it was being done. The whole team who were dealing with me were all incredibly kind, caring and considerate. Thank you to a great team.

  7. Review titled Outstanding service and staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited A&E expecting only to get some advice about severely swollen ankles, but I was admitted and a problem was soon found in one lung. This was treated successfully, as was the problem with my legs. Although the only 'accommodation' available was a bed in a corridor I was treated efficiently, politely and with total respect at all times by a superb team of very capable nursing staff and an exceptional doctor who left no stone unturned. I'm not in any hurry to go back as I don't plan to need emergency treatment, but if ever I need to visit an A&E again I hope it will be this one.

  8. Review titled Good experience at A&E

Following a car accident (passenger) I asked to be checked out before setting off to drive home (three hours) in the dark. I received excellent care: friendly receptionist, a two hour wait, efficient triage, consultation with a doctor: good outcome. Thank you.

Incredible service despite not enough space for enormous demand. I’m very grateful for the attitude and professionalism of the staff.

  10. Review titled Amazing supportive practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Natalie Goodbrand - Posted on 05 November 2023

I arrived after 6.30pm on a Sunday evening (05.11.23) with my severely autistic son who was really stressed at being in an unknown place. He had a hurt foot and was in quite a bit of pain. He is non verbal, 16 and tall and he was making a lot of noise. The lady on duty by the automatic doors was so understanding. She took my details so I didn’t have to queue up and regularly checked in with me about his long it would be. We were quickly rushed into the X-ray department and even though it took my son at least ten minutes to lay still to X-ray his foot, staff were really patient. We got the results quickly and the doctor who came to talk through the X-ray wax playful and friendly- just what we needed. I felt so seen and my son’s needs really recognised. Thank you so much.
