  1. Review titled Broken service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Carla - Posted on 14 July 2023

I turned up at a&e with an issue and believe me I do not go to a&e unless I know there is no where else Shock horror when I arrived mid afternoon 17 people down corridors or trolleys just waiting for a bed I was told your looking at 14 hour wait minimum 2 doctors on 67 patients I was so upset seeing this I stuck it out for 6 hours and went home seen no one in this time but a nurse who explained to me she taking blood and shouldn’t be … she’s a nursing assistant and has been asked to do alsorts of jobs that only a qualified nurse should be doing. I was horrified and seriously worried thinking If this is our local hospital then we are all doomed. I have never thought it was a good hospital prior for I was in patient 2016 but believe me this was on a whole different level. It’s busting at the seams and this isn’t care at all it’s hit and miss and if you were really poorly well all can say is your likely to be coming out in box for there isn’t the staff to take care of all the people … as said busting at the seams and understaffed We all champion the nhs but sorry this is nothing to champion or celebrate I would be very scared if I had something serious wrong with me accessing this hospital I am that traumatised I have even been looking into paying for private health which I really can’t afford when paying into the nhs every month national insurance out my wages and the service is not fit for purpose What are we left with? We can’t stop the national insurance out of our wages so forced to pay it I really feel people should wake up to what is happening and stop moaning and take action before there will be no nhs left This I believe will happen Anyone who wants to get In touch with me who thinks we can campaign etc then please get in touch with me I will help any way I can for these are desperate times I kid you not sit there do nothing and believe me the nhs won’t be there for you if you god forbid need it or any of your loved ones Good luck to you all who need it in future

Dear Cara, We are sorry to read about your experience within our Emergency Department (ED) that lead to you self-discharging before receiving treatment for the condition that brought you to our department. We appreciate that our Emergency Department is busy, like other EDs across the country and our clinicians see and treat patients based on clinical need. We understand that waiting to be seen whilst feeling unwell can be difficult, but advise patients if their condition worsens whilst waiting to make staff aware. We regularly promote healthcare service available to patients depending on their needs and these can be found on our website and on our social media and include; urgent care treatment centres, GPs, pharmacies, NHS 111 and self care. NHS 111 are a great resource to signpost on the right service for yourself dependent on symptoms. We hope that you have been able to see a clinician since leaving our ED to help you with your condition. If you need to discuss your experience further, please contact patient advice and liaison service (PALS) on whh.pals@nhs.net or call 01925 275512. The Communications Team

5 people at emergency and waiting time is 10 hours. How is this even possible. Emergency service but treating like dead people with no rush.

  3. Review titled Not great

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Victoria Thomson - Posted on 06 July 2023

I've just rang the appointment line for an urgent gynaecology appointment - the letter said to ring if I'd not heard anything by today, and I was told - very casually - yeah, you won't be hearing from gynaecology any time soon. Very insensitive. Appointments are urgent for a reason. I was told that they aren't meeting targets for 2 weeks urgent gynaecology appointments. I was told it'll be at least a few more weeks. Very disheartening when you may be seriously ill.

  4. Review titled Obstetric appointment

    by julietzp73 - Posted on 28 June 2023

I was waiting for almost 2.5 hours after my appointment time before I was seen. I asked at reception whether I'd been missed after 1 hour of waiting to be told that they were running late by 1.5 hours (there was no mention of this when I arrived). For someone who is almost 9 months pregnant to have to wait that long (without communication) in a hot room I feel is unacceptable. When I was seen for the appointment I found the consultant to be dismissive of my concerns and used upsetting language around the health of my baby.

  5. Review titled Nurses

Rated 1 star out of 5

All nurses on mobile phones, chatting about Facebook, all having breaks at the same time no one on the ward, fish chips on the night shift, sneaky smoke breaks, some of there sayings are, That's not my job, I am going home now, what's up with you now, and if you go sleep you go hungry, bed sores or very common, nurses never turn any one, I am sorry to say it's a disgrace there's no standard and some one needs to spend a couple of nights in Warrington Hospital to find out what you get on the NHS wards, I no this review will not change anything but it makes me feel better

  6. Review titled Help Given to me by nurses and doctor today

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Keith Porter - Posted on 15 May 2023

I suffered a fall in the cafe early today. I would just like to thank the nurses who came to my assistance and the Doctor who checked me out. They showed great kindness and concern and off course gave up part of their valuable break time

That is what is causing your pain I was given buscam and 3 tablets. When I asked for painkillers I was told very bruffly no I asked if these pain doesn't go may I call and ask.for help no. 10. Review titled Pulmonary rehab classes

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ian Williams - Posted on 04 April 2023

I have just completed the above course and what can I say. The staff are fabulous. I feel so much fitter than when I started and it has done me the world of good. Sadly it has all come to an end and unlike before Covid there is now no follow on facilities in the community to allow me to keep up my improvement which is really sad. So much effort goes into this and much is wasted due to lack of follow on opportunities. Otherwise first class
