Review titled Great vending machine, nothing else.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 May 2025
Entry, counter staff and the triage nurse were unsympathetic, unhelpful and miserable, not caring about our needs. Despite concerns with our unborn baby, and an obvious requirement for an ultrasound, we waited over 3 hours to be told there was no equipment for this on the weekend. We drove to London and she was in an out with an ultrsound in less than 45 minutes. The only good thing about our A&E experience was a plentiful vending and coffee machine.

Review titled 3 hour triage wait and cancelled blood tests
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 May 2025
This A&E Department is awful. My daughter was told to go straight to Pembury A&E due to an ongoing issue that had been going on for a week, starting with a visit to Maidstone A&E dept , 3 visits to her gp and still her problems were worsening. Her symptoms were bad enough that the doctor rang ahead to Pembury and said they were waiting for her. She had to wait over 3 hours just to be triaged and then Triage cancelled the request for her to have a blood test in error so she was left waiting in the A&E department for nothing. Eventually she was seen (after 7 hours) and the staff still did not know what was wrong with her, did not do the xray she should have had done and sent her home with Ibruprofen saying if it got worse to come back - well it had got worse that is why she had gone back! Is it any wonder people are sent home and something awful happens. This Trust needs to be reprimanded for the way it treats patients like cattle.

Review titled Totally Satisfied
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Brian - Posted on 21 May 2025
I have had heart issues for some time. All the staff were wonderful. My consultant explained everything very clearly and I now will wait for an appointment for his recommended treatment to get my heart working properly again. I left knowing exactly what will happen and all the alternative options if required. 10 out of 10. Thankyou.

Review titled Excellent Urgent Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Victorian LUCAS ROBERTS - Posted on 20 April 2025
I attended Pembury yesterday (19th April) 2025 following a telephone call to 111, then (at their behest) 999, and in agreement with the 999 controller I was brought by my husband directly to A & E. My underlying problem is that I have Churg Strauss syndrome which is a rare and unpredictable Immune Deficiency Disease. This means that I need to be alert in an anticipatory sense to any sense of unwellness. Yesterday morning I developed a racing heart which felt like palpitations and signs of a chest infection. As soon as I arrived at Pembury I was taken to the Orange Zone whilst my husband completed the registration formalities. I was seen initially by the Staff Nurse and the Foundation Doctor who went through the appropriate history and examination and blood and radiographic investigations very thoroughly and eventuality diagnosed a chest infection and provided me with antibiotics. I was discharged home with appropriate advice. The dificulty for me (and the medical staff) is the way in which Churge Strauss syndrome can precipitate a crisis ( I know, I have had 6 serious incidents over the last 15 years and many more worrying incidents that required medical intervention) I manage the condition mostly by self prescribed prednisolone but as with yesterday that was not enough and, as the Foundation Doctor diagnosed I have a Chest Infection. This is now coming under control. Many Thanks for the Prompt Treatment. I feel the main benefit of yesterday was the prompt care that has stopped the infection developing into a crisis, and the enormous reassurance that the prompt diagnosis and treatment and diagnosis gave to my husband and myself. My feelings are top, top care. With thanks Victoria Lucas Roberts

Review titled Excellent all round
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lynne Casson - Posted on 01 May 2025
I was taken by ambulance to A&E after a fall in Tonbridge Wells. I was very well looked after by the 2 lady paramedics who had to get me down 4 flights of stairs to exit the building. I was only in A&E a very short time and was taken for an X Ray. I was constantly monitored and the following morning I was taken to Majors to be reassessed and the already had 2 plans of action agreed depending on the outcome of the assessment. I had to stay in do I was then moved into a ward of 4 beds. The staff were amazing and I have to compliment the food throughout my visit. I was discharged that afternoon after 2 nights there. I'm more than happy with every aspect of my experience there. Thank you all so so much

I would like to thank the Physio department at Tunbridge Wells Hospital for great treatment. After ankle surgery I wasn’t anticipating much help with recovery but am very pleased to report how much the exercises have helped with my ongoing recovery. My particular physio has been a great help and I’d like to thank him very much.

My doctor refered me to A&E for a long standing problem Check in was easy. The doctor who called me, he stayed with me and the nurse who did the blood tests. Both very kind. Had a CT which was clear and had a cup of tea with the man who took out my canular. The consultant and I decided on a plan of action which I followed The result was amazing and I must say Thank You

Thank you to the amazing staff, nurses, receptionists, doctors for making my experience ‘bearable’ when I was petrified. Review titled Gobsmacked
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Caroline Ayre - Posted on 26 February 2025
Recently I attended A&E which was extremely busy and my wait time of 7 hours was unacceptable. Further I was appalled that many elderly and vulnerable patients were sitting in an area where many attendees had some form of respiratory infection or a vomiting bug. A very good reason to avoid A&E at all costs.
