Review titled Absolutely exemplary
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Vince - Posted on 17 June 2023
I attended the A&E department after my local walk-in centre had closed. The team of various disciplines were nothing short of amazing. All were professional, calm and caring as they took me through the various stages of my treatment. The hospital is an absolute credit to the Trust and NHS in general. I would have no problem returning, recommending and supporting going forwards.

Review titled Terrible experience
Rated 1 star out of 5

My surgery went reasonably well as far as I am aware, however the after care was appalling , I was physically shaken awaken & dragged by my arm to the toilet 5 times just in order to pass urine, this is so they can discharge you asap. I had a problem passing water & had to have a catheter, however the nurses were belligerent & nasty , they really hate it when they can’t discharge you , I was treated like an animal in the day ward . One particular nurse said I was dehydrated which was not the case , the opposite was true & I had to have a catheter to drain the urine. I don’t think nurses should be manhandling patients & forcing them to the toilet after a serious operation, just give people a chance to recover!!!

Review titled Superb Staff & Hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I arrived at Casuality at the Whittington on 20/5/23 in huge pain & distress by ambulance. Every member of staff that looked after me was outstanding. I felt thoroughly taken care of and went from professional to professional smoothly and quickly. Every staff member ( over 30) doctors, nurses, consultants, cleaners, porters & caterers were all friendly , calm and caring. This hospital has a wonderful friendly & efficient atmosphere. This is the best hospital experience I have ever had , in the worst circumstances ever.

Was admitted to Whittington hospital May 31st with edema and pressure sores, caught pneumonia on ward was moved to nightingale ward where l was well looked after by all the team they were very thorough in their treatment and made me well. Unfortunately l accidently fell and broke my hip while recovering, was taken to theatre, nurses and ot staff were super despite me feeling down, they were so positive and kind, then l got covid, once again l was well looked after and recovered well. Health wise l was OK so was sent to St Pancras rehab to help with my mobility, was there 3 weeks progressing well when my oxygen levels dropped to 75. Sent back to Whittington nightingale ward for 4 weeks.. lve been home now for a week spending my 70th birthday in hospital which everyone made a fuss it was so special. I will always be grateful to the Whittington hospital staff from the bottom to the top who made me well, what a team all working together, thank you all from my heart, will never forget you all!!!!!
