  1. Review titled Not great at all

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 April 2025

Got bought in by ambulance as I had a suspected blocked gallstone. And to say I was left by myself with nobody checking on me for hours. Had my bloods taken as soon as I entered whilst still on the ambulance bed. Got put in a room and was left. Paramedics did 10X more than the nurses and doctors did whilst I was in there. Few hours passed. No tests. Nobody examining me. Eventually had a consultant come in and tell me I could go home cause my bloods were fine. Bearing in mind my blood pressure was 105/49. For a 21 year old I was told this was ridiculously low. Would have thought they would have waited till that rose or did more tests but nothing. Pretty much automatically after being told I could go home and me still being in excruciating pain. A nurse came in and removed my canular and asked how long my lift would be. As I left I asked if I was being sent home with anything to manage my pain with and I got told by that same nurse to manage it with paracetemol. Left that hospital almost feeling worse than I did going in. Absolutely disgusting

  2. Review titled Outstanding care of autistic daughter in A&E

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Laura Harrison - Posted on 30 May 2023

The team who looked after our autistic daughter during a bank holiday visit to A & E were incredible. They were everything she needed them to be: kind, funny, patient and understanding. She was seen within 5 minutes. We were offered a paediatric room to help with her anxiety as she was becoming overwhelmed. She was excited to see her X-ray too. As parents , we were involved with the process, never felt judged or in the way. There was lots of laughter which helped our anxiety. Our daughter was cared for by a wonderful nurse and play specialist who gave her outstanding care. She also received a certificate of bravery to show at school. She wants to go back to A@E again as she says it’s “such a lovely hospital” Thanks everyone.
