I am an extremely nervous person, and, when at the time I was almost 80 years old, I was facing my first ever overnight stay in hospital, and my first ever surgery involving anaesthetic. Everyone, from the Consultant and Anaesthetist, to the Nurses, Physiotherapists, Catering staff, the Reception staff and the cleaners, and probably others that I don't recall being involved, made my stay easy to cope with. The treatment both during my stay for hip replacement surgery, and in the aftercare has been superb, and I could not have wished for better.

Great hospital was treated with care the nurses who looked after me were very caring and kept me informed.. The surgeon was very nice and explained everything before my surgery and after.. The room was spotless clean and after surgery I had lovely sandwiches and coffee.. Was anxious before I went in.. but I didn’t need to be.. Was very happy with everything here from start to finish

Staff and whole experience were good. Follow up with Physio ,twelve weeks after operation, was easily arranged. After discussion and new exercises this has already led to improvements in my recovery.

I attended yesterday for a hernia repair. I was only in the hospital for a few hours but was very struck by the friendly staff. From the reception staff and nurses through to the anaesthetist and surgeon all were kind and efficient. I have spent some time in various hospitals over the last few years and sometimes the attitude to patients leaves much to be desired. A friendly face and a kind word does a great deal to help in what can be quite a stressfull time. Many thanks to all.
