Review titled CT Scanning
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Catherine U - Posted on 25 April 2025
As a cancer patient I have just had my fourth or fifth CT Scan at Stafford Hospital. The Imaging department has a friendly atmosphere so it is quite a relaxing experience. CT scans are quite short and so long as you remember to wear loose clothes to avoid any problems with tightness on the arm and pressurising the contrast dye, they are straightforward. The staff are all professional and compassionate and if you have problems with veins especially after they will move the site to accommodate. I appreciate the scanning service especially whilst undergoing chemotherapy and look forward to seeing the turtle above the scanner. A life-saving machine!

Review titled Chemotherapy Suite
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Catherine U. - Posted on 14 April 2025
As a cancer patient I have just finished six cycles of chemotherapy at the Chemotherapy suite in Stafford. I left anonymous reviews before and I just wanted to compliment them on such an excellent service. There is a lovely, relaxing atmosphere and the staff are very professional, caring and compassionate, their feet don't touch the ground. The volunteers are lovely and make you feel so at ease. Chemotherapy can be very daunting but it is made so much easier by all the staff in the whole department.

Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was admitted to Stafford Hospital feeling unwell on active chemotherapy. The staff in Accident and Emergency were great and saw me quickly. I was admitted to the Acute Medical Ward for two days. I had excellent care in a very busy ward. Despite the winter pressures the staff were lovely and did their very best for me. Thank you. I wrote a previous review for any patients worried about undergoing chemotherapy. The back up is there and it is brilliant.

Review titled Kind staff

I had to attend Stafford Hospital for a scan for a breast lump. The ladies who scanned me were extremely kind, talked me through what they were looking at on the scan and sent me away feeling relieved and well looked after. While I was being scanned, I was treated to a lovely image of trees and mountains covered by a light dusting of snow. The only thing missing was some wildlife - maybe a couple of birds or a deer to help focus the mind. Anyway I mentioned this during the scan and they said I should definitely let the hospital know for future reference. Might be a nice addition for any women after me who are going in for a scan.

I went stafford hospital to have a colonoscopy procedure my second one, very friendly staff made it relaxing. When I went in the room to start the procedure I had gas & air the 3 staff in there were amazing we had such a laugh. They even said I wish all of our patients were like this. Well done for making a nervous day more chilled and relaxed. But I must say I hope I don’t see you again in a nice way. 😂😂😂

Review titled No results for ct scan within 10 weeks.
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 October 2024
I had a ct scan 10 weeks ago and have had no results. Can only assume all is ok. If you ring the hospital you only get a recorded message asking you to leave details but get no call back. Was supposed to have follow up appointment with oncologist but no appointment has been offered. Frustrating and worrying experience dealing with Stafford and Stoke oncology.

Review titled North Midlands Hand Centre

Have just left the care of the team after surgery this morning (‘team’ as I can’t name anyone - daft!) I have to say that from reception, care staff, anaesthetists, nursing staff and doctors/surgeon have been awesome - what every department in the hospital and NHS should strive to be! Call me and I’ll provide names as they all need recognition. Welcoming, friendly, put you at ease, professional, supportive and many other descriptive nouns state how I was treated today. The department is a credit also! Spotlessly clean , well organised and equipped. Thanks is not enough! Well done and thank you so much.👍🙏👏 PS - add the department to the drop down menu so it is independently recognised.

Review titled Best hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Bianca Gadalean - Posted on 26 August 2024
I am incredibly grateful to Stafford Hospital for the exceptional care I received. From the moment I was taken in by ambulance, I felt I was in safe hands. They conducted numerous tests, including a CT scan, blood tests, and urine tests, thoroughly checking everything. The staff was professional, caring, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I truly believe they saved my life, and I can't thank them enough for their prompt and attentive care. It was the best experience l've ever had in such a critical situation. Thank you, Stafford Hospital, for everything!
